Aqua One Reef 200 protein skimmer
Im in the process of setting up the tank, so far i have got it full of RO water and turned it all on. I am not sure how to set the protein skimmer correctly so any help would be appriciated.
the only ajustment is on the outlet, with the out let open full the "bubbles" are hardly visable in the collection cup and nothing appears to get into the cup. If i close it the cup fills up with water.
I dont have a clue how it sould work or anything if im honnest, what i have tried to do is set it so that there are some bubbles visable in the middle tube of the collection cup but not bubble over. is this correct?

protein skimmer
Hi
Mat
Yes the bubbles should only be at the neck of the iner tube so that when the bubble start to collect you only get a dark green liquid but at the moment you will have no waste for the skimmer to pull out
But still have it running from the start it will help when you get your live rock

fab, we're getting there with setting it up.
Taking it slow, finally filled up with the RO water last night, muppet man hadnt turned the valve tap!!!! So once he figured that out it did come out a bit faster.
Told the little fella (youngest son) that there are rock and fish eggs in the water, and one day they'll grow into rock and later on fish.
He believes us too!!! Arent we cruel parents lol
