brown stuff all over place!

ok, MAt is going to eventally get on here and explain but today he noticed brown stuff all over rock and sand. It wasnt there this morning, any ideas what it is and why it happened?
Not sure if it normal or not.

Also has anyone got any ideas on how we can move a 200 liter tank to a new house? (we're prob moving soon!!!! CLoser to the shop too!) (I heard you groan)

thats diatoms Carly.. itys all part of the "Tank Cycle" nothing to worry about as it will soon go away.. just means that the tank is still not ready for any live stock just yet.. Keep up the testing for ammonia and nitrite when they are both at Zero you can think about adding some clean up crew to help shift the diatom bloom

ahh thanks Kev!
did wonder if it were normal. Now got brown spots of it all over front of tank, did water test and it wasnt too far out. so hoping not long now, had rock in for 2 weeks

BLimey those hermit crabs dont half go for it!

Not much movement from the sea hare, but the shrimp are busy ont he rock.

And of course the little un went nuts again, dancing about cos more eggs hatched ha ha
